NEW BUSINESS

  1. Discuss and take action on setting standard mileage rate at .545 cents per mile for all business miles driven per IRS guidelines – effective as of January 1, 2018.
  2. Discuss and take action to approve the hiring of Amanda Rizzo to the position of Environmental Health Inspector located within the Health Department. The position is non-union; rate of pay is $23.40 per hour. The position is budgeted, not requiring an appropriation of funds. The position vacancy was created by the creation of a new position as approved by the Job Evaluation Committee and Board of Finance.
  3. Discuss and take action to approve hiring of Jeffrey Allen to the position of Landfill Gate Attendant (part-time) located within the Public Works Department. The position is union. Rate of pay is $16.37 per hour. The position is budgeted, not requiring an appropriation of funds. The position vacancy was created by a resignation.
  4. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from Madison Hose Co. No. 1 for a 231 Truck Replacement.
  5. Discuss and take action to approve a Resolution supporting participation in the Sustainable CT Municipal Certification Program, and authorizing the First Selectmen to serve as the contact person for the certification process.
  6. Tax abatements / refunds.
  7. Citizens comments.
  8. Liaison Reports/Selectmen Comments.
