NEW BUSINESS


5. To consider and act on a resolution recommending an appropriation, and the authorization of bonds and notes to finance the appropriation, for costs related to the demolition of the existing Ryerson Elementary School at 982 Durham Road in Madison and the design, construction, furnishing and equipping of a new kindergarten through third grade elementary school on the same parcel as the existing school, subject to or pending Board of Selectman approval.  

6. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from the Engineering Department in the amount of $23,000. The funds will be transferred from Contingency to the CNRE Fund and earmarked for the Town Campus Baseball Field Project. 

7. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from the Engineering Department in the amount of $25,139 to fund the Arts Barn Roof Replacement project. 

8. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from Madison Hose Company No. 1 not to exceed $15,000 for the purchase of a new boat engine, pending Board of Selectmen approval.

9. Discuss and take action to waive the BOF regulation that states that equipment funded through the Truck Replacement Reserve Fund shall cost in excess of $25,000, if necessary.


10. Discuss and take action to approve a donation in the amount of $3,000 from Neighbor to Neighbor to Madison Youth and Family Services for supplementary funding for summer camp.  

11. Discuss and take action to approve a donation in the amount of $5,000 from Neighbor to Neighbor to Madison Youth and Family Services for emergency funding for individuals and families.  

12. The following line transfers are designated as routine and appropriate for approval as a single action by the Board of Selectmen, if so desired.  A board member may request removal of any line transfer item from the consent agenda for review and discussion.

Motion:  To approve Line Transfers totaling $17,850.80.
