NEW BUSINESS

  1. Discuss and take action to approve the appointment of Elizabeth Amendola to the full time position of Animal Control Officer, Madison Police Department, AFSCME Council #4 Union, to replace Fran Fellows who is retiring on November 1, 2017. 
  2. Discuss and take action to approve the creation of the position of Tax Collector, Salary Grade 13, Exempt into the Classified Plan as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee.  Funding to fill the positions exists within the line item for the Director of Town Services.
  3. Discuss and take action to approve the modifications to the position of Landfill Gate Attendant, Public Works, Teamsters as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee. 
  4. Discuss and take action to approve the job descriptions for the positions of the Fire Inspector 1 and Fire Investigator for inclusion in to the Classified Plan as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee.
  5. Discuss and take action to approve the job description and salary for the position of Environmental Health Inspector, Health Department as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee.  Funding exists within the line items of the Health Department Budget to recruit and hire for this position. 
  6. Discuss and take action to approve the hiring of Mr. John Malavasi to the position of Truck Driver located within the Public Works department.  The position is Union.  Rate of pay is $21.79 per hour.  The position is budgeted, not requiring an appropriation of funds.  The position vacancy was created by a promotion 
  7. Discuss and take action to approve the job description changes and salary reclassification for the position of Director of Senior Services, Salary Grade 15, as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee.  Funding exists and was budgeted for the reclassification in the Salary Reserve line item, effective January 1, 2018.  
  8. Discuss and take action to approve the job description changes and salary reclassification for the position of Assistant Director of Senior Services, Salary Grade 10, as reviewed by the Job Evaluation Committee.  Funding exists and was budgeted for the reclassification in the Salary Reserve line item, effective January 1, 2018. 
  9. Discuss and take action to approve a request from Madison Hose Company #1 for the Zodiac Boat and trailer replacement. 
  10. Discuss the Heatherwood Bridge Project status. 
  11. Discuss and take action on Verizon interest in leasing space in the parking lot off Samson Rock Dr. for Fiber equipment shelter. 
  12. Discuss and take action to approve designating Matteo Court as a public road. 
  13. Discuss and take action to approve extending the Power Purchase Agreement between the Town of Madison and Star Energy, to include Daniel Hand High School and possibly the Town Campus and Arts Barn buildings. 
  14. Discuss and take action to approve Commercial Roofing to install the Arts Barn Roof. The contractor is off of the State Bid List. 
  15. Discuss and take action to approve the resignation of Eric Thornburg from the Board of Police Commissioners effective November 1, 2017. 
  16. Discuss and take action to approve the resignation of Ted Aub from the Veterans Joint Advisory Committee effective November 1, 2017.
  17. Discuss and take action to approve the resignation of John Strong Edwards from the Shellfish Commission effective November 1, 2017.
  18. Discuss and take action to approve the resignation of Robert Cika from the Shellfish Commission effective November 1, 2017.
  19. Discuss and take action to re-authorize the Old Elm Street Historic District Study Committee through August 31, 2019. 
  20. Appointments: 

    Joel Miller to the Veterans Joint Advisory Committee for a term to expire on January 1, 2018.

    Discuss and take action to formally appoint the following members to the Old Elm Street Historic District Study Committee with terms to expire August 31, 2019:
