NEW BUSINESS
  1. Discuss and take action on appointing an Acting First Selectman.
  2. Discuss and take action to approve the following resolution:

    Be it resolved that the Board of Selectmen adopts and amends the 475 and 401a defined contributions plans naming Madison Public Schools as a participating employer; and

    Be it further resolved that the First Selectman and the Director of Finance or her designee, are authorized to execute the Participation Agreement and other relevant documents pertaining to the inclusion of the Madison Public Schools in to the defined contribution plan.

  3. Discuss and take action to approve the use of Bauer Park Old Community Gardens for the Madison Rotary Carnival, if needed.
  4. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from the Tax Department in the amount of $3,000 to fund the prior year account based on pro-ration of motor vehicle bills for the 2015 grand list which resulted in overpayments.
  5. Discuss and take action to allow the Public Works Department to waive the bid process for a Pre-Characterization Sampling Plan of the Septage Lagoons located on Ridge Road.
  6. Discuss and take action to approve a contract with Woodward and Curran totaling $40,000 to prepare a Pre-Characterization Sampling Plan of the Septage Lagoons located on Ridge Road.
  7. Discuss and take action to approve funding the Heatherwood Bridge Replacement Structural Analysis in the amount of $5,000 from the planning / reserve account.
  8. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from the Public Works Department in the amount of $30,519.50 to fund materials for septic system installations and service for main electrical work for the Strong Center Field Houses.
  9. Discuss and take action to close the Polson Roof Phase III Account.
  10. Discuss and take action to close the Island Ave Tank Removal Account.
  11. Discuss and take action to close the Madison Youth and Family Services Basement Project Account.
  12. Discuss and take action to accept a Department of Public Health Preventive Health Services Grant; this is a reimbursement grant which will not exceed $4,224.00.
  13. Discuss and take action to approve a Line Item Transfer from the Health Department in the amount of $700.00.
  14. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation Request from the Health Department in the amount of $7,345.00 to fund Public Health Emergency Preparedness initiatives.
  15. Update from the Academy School Steering Committee.
  16. Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
  17. Discuss and take action on an Annual Senior Center Membership Fee.
