NEW BUSINESS

  1. Discuss and take action on applying for an America the Beautiful Grant for trees for downtown.
  2. Discuss and take action on request to apply for DEP Statewide Ecosystem Management and Restoration Grant and Long Island Sound Fund Grant. (pending BOS approval on 7/19/10)
  3. Discuss and take action on the following resolution re: Waiver of Tax bill
    • Resolved that pursuant to CT General State Statute Section 12- 144c, the Town of Madison hereby authorizes the waiving of any additional motor vehicle property tax in a total amount less than $5.00 that is due as a result of the setting of the official mill rate for the October 1, 2009 grand list subsequent to the passage of the final 2010-2011 Town budget. (pending BOS approval on 7/19/10)
  4. Discuss and take action on special appropriation request of $21,000 from Facilities Dept. for moving of the Charlotte Evarts Archives to the lower level of Memorial Town Hall in order to accommodate the new Joint Madison/Guilford Probate Office. (pending BOS approval on 7/19/10)
