Meet the Board of Finance

Kathleen Rossini, Chairman, has resided in Madison since 1997.  She holds an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and a B.A. in both Economics and Psychology.  Currently she works part time as a risk assessment and investigative research consultant.  Prior, she was an Associate Managing Director with Kroll Associates, Wall Street’s premier business intelligence firm, where she worked for over 12 years.  Ms. Rossini served on Madison’s Board of Education from 2002 until 2007, including service as the Chair of the Planning Committee, membership on the Finance Committee, and five years as the Board’s liaison to LEARN, a state educational organization, where she served on the Executive Board as Secretary, and most recently, as Vice Chair.  Numerous volunteer affiliations include: Executive Board positions within the local PTO and the Madison Newcomers Club; Board of Education representative to the Joint Task Force for the Prevention of Youth Substance Abuse; Walter C. Polson Building Committee member (roof replacement); Little League coach; and Forgotten Felines volunteer and foster family.  “The Madison community has been a great place to raise my family and is an important part of my life.  I look forward to serving on the Board of Finance with dedication and an open mind.”

Jennifer S. Tung, moved to Madison in 1997, so that she and her husband Tom could raise their two young boys with small town New England values. She has been very active volunteering at St. Margaret's Church, Madison Community Services, the Parent Teacher Organizations at Ryerson and Brown Schools and the Connecticut Shoreline Republican Women's Committee. Jennifer also has served on the Madison Republican Town Committee for 5 years, was the Chair of the Brown School Renovation Committee, and first became elected to the Board of Finance in 2005.  She has been a partner/co-owner of 3 businesses in properties and training.  Prior to moving to Madison, she was the Environmental Officer at Santa Clara University and a Toxicologist for Lockheed Missile and Space Company, Inc.  She earned her B.S. from Cornell University and her M.A. from San Jose State University.

Owen Charles moved to Madison in 2004 with his wife Lynne and their three young children. Owen holds a B.A. from Grinnell College, an R.N. degree from Regents College, and an M.B.A. in Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix. With 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical research industry, he has been employed at a large pharmaceutical company for the past seven years where he has been responsible for the management of large global contracts with clinical R&D service providers and leadership of process improvement and cost-saving initiatives. He has served on advisory boards and speaking faculty for pharmaceutical industry conferences and published articles in numerous industry journals. He is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA) and the New York Academy of Sciences. Owen previously served on the Democratic Town Committee in Deep River (1999-2004) and as a town representative to the Connecticut Regional Mental Health Board (1999-2001).

Fillmore McPherson, moved to Madison in 1979 with his artist wife, Joan and their three children. He was employed by Schick Razors and Blades in Milford, retiring in 1997 as Director of Logistics. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Industrial Management, both from MIT. He served with the US Navy, active and reserve for 32 years retiring with the rank of Captain. He is currently the Vice President of Finance for the Madison Land Conservation Trust. Previous community service includes the High School Building Committee, the Town Plan Advisory Committee, the Boy Scouts and A Better Chance (ABC).

Kathy Stahelski has lived in Madison since 1999 with her husband and three children.  She is the treasurer of a Windsor, Connecticut mid-sized manufacturing company.  As a senior financial officer, she is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial health including cash and debt management, managing and directing both the operating and capital budgets, and developing and implementing the strategic and business plans.  She holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.S. in Business Administration also from Boston University.  She is a member of St. Margaret’s Church and has been actively involved as a team “mom” for many of her children’s sports teams including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey.  She served as the P.T.O. vice president of the Kindergarten Center in 2000.

David E. Youngerman was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania and has lived with his family in Madison for 14 years.  He received a B.A. from Haverford College in Economics and an M.B.A. from Harvard School of Business.  He currently is a partner in WDC Holdings, Inc., a business development firm established in 1992.  Prior to that he was a senior vice president at American Express.  Mr. Youngerman most recently served as an elected member of the Board of Education, was previously a member of the Economic Development Commission, and is presently the treasurer of the Madison Democratic Town Committee.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Madison Foundation where he is the secretary.
