Kathleen Rossini, has resided in Madison since 1997. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and a B.A. in both Economics and Psychology. Currently she works part time as a risk assessment and investigative research consultant. Prior, she was an Associate Managing Director with Kroll Associates, Wall Street’s premier business intelligence firm, where she worked for over 12 years. Ms. Rossini served on Madison’s Board of Education from 2002 until 2007, including service as the Chair of the Planning Committee, membership on the Finance Committee, and five years as the Board’s liaison to LEARN, a state educational organization, where she served on the Executive Board as Secretary, and most recently, as Vice Chair. Numerous volunteer affiliations include: Executive Board positions within the local PTO and the Madison Newcomers Club; Board of Education representative to the Joint Task Force for the Prevention of Youth Substance Abuse; Walter C. Polson Building Committee member (roof replacement); Little League coach; and Forgotten Felines volunteer and foster family. “The Madison community has been a great place to raise my family and is an important part of my life. I look forward to serving on the Board of Finance with dedication and an open mind.”

Jennifer S. Tung, moved to Madison in 1997, so that she and her husband Tom could raise their two young boys with small town New England values. She has been very active volunteering at St. Margaret's Church, Madison Community Services, the Parent Teacher Organizations at Ryerson and Brown Schools and the Connecticut Shoreline Republican Women's Committee. Jennifer also has served on the Madison Republican Town Committee for 5 years, was the Chair of the Brown School Renovation Committee, and first became elected to the Board of Finance in 2005. She has been a partner/co-owner of 3 businesses in properties and training. Prior to moving to Madison, she was the Environmental Officer at Santa Clara University and a Toxicologist for Lockheed Missile and Space Company, Inc. She earned her B.S. from Cornell University and her M.A. from San Jose State University.

Kathy Stahelski has lived in Madison since 1999 with her husband and three children. She is the treasurer of a Windsor, Connecticut mid-sized manufacturing company. As a senior financial officer, she is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial health including cash and debt management, managing and directing both the operating and capital budgets, and developing and implementing the strategic and business plans. She holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.S. in Business Administration also from Boston University. She is a member of St. Margaret’s Church and has been actively involved as a team “mom” for many of her children’s sports teams including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey. She served as the P.T.O. vice president of the Kindergarten Center in 2000.

Peggy Lyons moved to Madison from New York City in 2007 with her husband David, who was born and raised in Madison. Peggy holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from Cornell University. Her professional background includes 17 years of working with large and medium sized companies in a corporate finance and strategic planning capacity. While working in internal corporate development at two major companies, Peggy was responsible for business strategy, financial planning and M&A related activities. At several Wall Street firms, Peggy worked in investment banking where she assisted companies raise money in the capital markets, expand operations through acquisitions, and restructure their businesses. Peggy previously served on the Madison Economic Development Commission and is currently a member of the Madison Democratic Town Committee.

Helen Burland, Chairman, has lived in Madison since 1993. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Fairfield University. Helen is the president of a private not-for-profit school for students with intellectual disabilities. Prior to this, she was the Assistant for Administration for the Town of Madison. Helen served on the Madison Board of Education from 1997-2005 serving as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee. She also represented the Board of Education on the Facilities Review Committee. Helen served as the Chairman of the Daniel Hand High School Building Committee from 2001-2003. She is also active in the community serving as a catechist for St. Margaret Church and is an avid bridge player. Helen is married with five children, all of whom have attended Madison Public Schools. “Madison is a wonderful community and I am proud to serve on the Board. “ |

Jim Matteson has lived in Madison for 31 years with his wife Diane and their two sons who graduated from Daniel Hand High School. Jim’s public service includes Board of Finance (Dunstable, MA 1977-1978) and Ad Hoc Ethics Committee in Madison (2009). He is a member of the Madison Republican Town Committee. An entrepreneur and business veteran within the high technology industry, Jim currently serves as CEO of CleanTech Oil, LLC – a New England-based project management and operating company in the used lubrication oil re-refinery industry. He is also a principal of Ideas-Into-Action – a business consultancy in the high technology arena. He retired in 2007 from Virtusa Corporation (Nasdaq:VRTU) as Senior Vice President of the Communications, Content, and Technology (CCT) business unit. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Economics from Cornell University and served on active duty in the United States Naval Reserves as a Supply Officer on the USS Mullany, DD528. |
