NOTARY PUBLIC

The Town Clerk’s Office, as a courtesy, provides as a courtesy to the residents of Madison, the free services of a Notary Public during office hours. Non-residents will be charged a fee of $5.00 per stamp. We will notarize most documents with the proper proof of identification. Because of the liability, we have been advised by the State not to notarize Wills, Living Wills, or any type of document that will be recorded in the Town of Madison Land Records. Remember, the purpose of a Notary Public is to witness the signing of said document, so do not sign anything until you appear in person.

Please note the free service is for documents of Madison residents, not for the purpose of a resident’s company or business.
