Join the Clean Energy Challenge! We're challenging the citizens of Madison to double the number of households signed up for Clean Energy during Energy Awareness Month.

March 29: Earth Hour and Madison Clean Energy Challenge Begins
Join the town of Madison and communities around the world in Earth Hour, an effort to save energy by turning off non-essential lighting on March 29 from 8pm-9p. When the lights come back on, sign up for Clean Energy, and turn a one-hour event into a lifetime of clean energy!
April 5: Green Lifestyle Fair
10-2:30pm Energy alternatives, home products, speakers and exhibitors. Clinton Town Hall. www.sldw.org
April 7: Green to Gold
7pm Yale professor Dan Esty speaking at R.J. Julia about the business challenge of "going green."
April 8: Changing Environments of Long Island Sound
7pm Wesleyan professor John Varekamp talk, Polson Middle School.
April 19: Madison Green Up Clean Up
8am-12pm Meet at Memorial Town hall or Roberts Supermarket parking lot to participate in this annual event to clean up Madison.
April 19: Bag Exchange
8am- Bring 10 plastic bags to Super Stop & Shop and the Daniel Hand High School Environmental Club will exchange your plastic for a free cloth "Hand Tiger" bag (while supplies last).
April 20: Madison Earth Day Sunday
12:30 Clean Energy Parade. Meet at the train station with your hybrid car, bicycle or other clean energy conveyance, and parade with us down Wall Street.
