FLU INFORMATION 2/18/10 |

SEASONAL FLUWe are near the end of this round of Seasonal Flu, which will be on vacation until next fall. The CDC is now determining the recipe for next season’s Seasonal Flu vaccine as well as projecting how many doses will be sufficient to meet demand. H1N1 FLUThe number of cases of H1N1 Flu has been dropping for the last few weeks but it would not be unusual for a flu strain of this type to mount another assault this spring. We are currently in the planning stages for further clinics, however our series of regional (East Haven, Branford, North Branford, Guilford, Madison) large, free H1N1 clinics has probably concluded (depending on demand). Vaccine is still available for anyone who wants protection and for children under 10 years old who need their second dose. For the present, small weekly clinics will be scheduled at the East Shore District Health Department office in Branford and be listed on their website. Appointments can be made online or by calling (203) 245-5681 or (203) 481-4233 during business hours.
