Starting in 2006, the program of testing dead birds for the presence of West Nile Virus has been eliminated in favor of testing mosquitoes that are collected by the State Department of Public Health in traps throughout the state. Therefore residents are no longer asked to report dead birds to local health departments. Thank you for your participation in the past
