What is Police Exploring?

The Explorer program is a division of the Boy Scouts of America. It is a program that allows hands on training and experience to young men and women between the ages of 14 (who have completed the 8th grade) and 21 who have some type of interest in the law enforcement field. The Explorers get to view the career to help them decide if that is the career field for them. Many Explorers have gone on to pursue a career in law enforcement as well as many other law enforcement fields. Explorers are trained in the various types of police duties including accident investigation, crime scene investigation, building searches, domestic disputes, motor vehicle stops, DUI enforcement, firearms, communication and much much more

How can I Join?

In order to become a member of the Explorer post, you must Submit an application for membership. Meet all eligibility requirements. Successfully complete a background investigation. Must be between the ages of 14 and 21 or has completed the 8th grade .Must be in good academic standing (‘C’) average minimum). Must be free of any criminal record.
