Madison Waste Disposal
Madison/Guilford Transfer Station
Connecticut towns are required to provide ways for residents to dispose of most common types of waste. Madison has no municipal trash pick-up so residents may either contract with commercial waste haulers for regular trash and recycling service or they may dispose of their own trash at authorized locations (Commercial trash haulers do not pick up hazardous waste).
Commercial haulers and private residents alike deposit household trash and common recyclable material at the Guilford/Madison Transfer Station. There is no charge for common recyclables but fees are charged for certain types of waste.
The Guilford Transfer Station is located on the Post Road, west of I-95.
