In the event the penalty is not paid within 14 days following
the date of the violation, said penalty will double.

GROUP I - $15.00 Penalty for Violation of:

1. Parking on Sidewalk	6. Occupying 2 spaces
2. Parking on Wrong Side of Street	7. Parking Within a Crosswalk
3. Blocking Driveway	8. Backing into a Parking Space
4. Parking Too Close to Corner (25’)	9. Parking more than 12” from Curb
5. Parking Too Close to Stop Sign or Intersection (25’)	10. Parking on/within Curve Radius
5. Parking Too Close to Stop Sign or Intersection (25’)	11. Other

GROUP II - $20.00 Penalty for Violation of:

12. Overtime Parking (Two Hour Limit)

GROUP III - $25.00 Penalty for Violation of:

13. Parking in a Bus Stop	17. Abandoning a Motor Vehicle
14. Obstructing Traffic	18.Obstructing a Fire Hydrant
15. Parking in a Loading Zone	19. Violation - Town Snow Ordinance
16. Parking in a No Parking Zone	20. Violation - Town Ordinance

GROUP IV - $35.00 Penalty for Violation of:

21. Parking in a Fire Zone

GROUP V - $85.00 Penalty for Violation of:

22. Parking in a Handicap Zone

Payment is due within 14 days - checks to be made payable to “Town of Madison”. If payment is not received within 30 days, an Infraction Ticket may be issued to the last registered owner of the motor vehicle. Ticket appeals must be sent in writing to Madison Police Department, 9 Campus Drive, Madison, CT 06443; appeal date will be assigned.
