Dear Citizens of Madison:

As I begin my term as the First Selectman of Madison, I am reminded of the trust that you placed in me. During the last several months, you shared with me your vision of Madison; that which you cherish and wish to preserve; your hopes for our future and your wish that government efforts will continue to help build our sense that this is a community in which we look out for each other.

It is time to challenge all of us: elected officials, town employees and the public as a whole to begin together on a future for Madison to which we all will be proud.

We will strive to bring you information, structured process and our best thinking. You will provide the ideas, the dialogue, the debate and the decision. And together, as a community, we will move forward.
