Emergency Management

The President has approved the Governor’s request for Individual Assistancefor New Haven County, including Madison, for damage due to the heavy rains of late March of this year. Residents that sustained damage due to this rain event are urged to register with the Federal FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or register on line at www.disasterassistance.gov.FEMA's tele-registration lines are open seven days a week, 6:30 a.m. till 1 a.m. M-F and 6:30 a.m. till midnight Saturday and Sunday. It is important for everyone who sustained damage to register with FEMA, regardless of whether you have previously reported damage to any other governmental agency, including the Town, the State or through 211.

The State has also set up a low-interest loan program for residents that sustained damage from these storms and information can be obtained at www.chif.org.
