Masks 4 Madison

Masks 4 Madison

Governor Lamont has required all residents wear face masks in public when social distancing is not possible.  Knowing that face masks are in short supply, one of Madison’s angels has stepped up to help fill the need.  She is calling on all people in Madison who can sew, to rally together to make Masks 4 Madison.  She will supply you with a kit to make 10 masks.

  • You will get: written instructions, a sample, pre-cut and ready to sew pieces of cloth.  A great sense of accomplishment and pride that when Madison called, you answered.
  • You will need: a sewing machine, thread and your helping heart and hands.  These can be sewn by hand.
  • What you need to know: how to sew a straight line.

If you have all the supplies you need to make a mask, but don’t have a good set of directions, this website has a great pattern.

If you are interested in participating or are in need of a mask, please contact the Madison Senior Center at (203) 245-5627 or madisonwillriseforseniors@madisonct.org
