Mental Health

Finding a Therapist:

Finding a therapist for your child and/or loved-one can feel overwhelming.  MYFS can provide guidance to parents and youth to consider options that address their specific needs.  Madison residents can call or visit our office for a free confidential consultation.   Our primary goal is to help connect people with what they need and want.

Other means to identify possible therapy resources would include consulting with your doctor or child’s pediatrician, or contacting your insurance carrier for a list of in-network providers.  Most insurance provider lists include web-based search engines that allow for filtering to find the options that best fit your needs.  If finding an in-network provider is crucial, it may help to narrow your list of options through your insurance, and then seek input from MYFS, your doctor or school to help sort through your options.

To search on-line, the Psychology Today website provides a useful search engine that also can be customized to your needs.
