Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Madison that the annual tax on the 2018 Grand List is due July 1, 2019. Real Estate and Personal Property taxes (for a business) in an amount over $50.00 are due and payable in two equal installments, the first installment is due July 1, 2019 and the second installment is due January 1, 2020. We do not mail a bill for the second installment. Motor Vehicles taxes are also due July 1, 2019, in one installment.
If any payment due July 1, 2019 is not paid on or before August 1, 2019, the installment becomes delinquent and subject to interest of 1 ½% per month or fraction thereof from the due date. Minimum interest charge is $2.00. Failure to receive a tax bill does not invalidate the tax. If you did not receive a tax bill, please call the Tax Collector’s Office 203-245-5641 or visit our Online Tax Payments page, where you can pay online, research and print out tax bills.
Payment may be made by check, bank check or cash at the Tax Collector’s Office during Town Hall hours at 8 Campus Dr., Madison CT or by mail to Tax Collector, P O Box 587, Madison CT 06443. The Town Hall will be closed July 4th & 5th , 2019 in observance of Independence Day.
