The town of Madison’s Economic Development Commission is passionate about enhancing the town’s economic viability for the betterment of the residents, property owners, and businesses. The Commission is comprised solely of town residents, and without town personnel assistance. Per the Commission’s mission statement, “The success of the EDC will be measured by the Town’s ability to strengthen and diversify its tax base while preserving the desirable “quality of life” attributes so cherished by Madison residents.”

36 minute flight from Manhattan to Madison, Connecticut aboard a seaplane. The Economic Development Commission is working with several private entities to bring seaplane charter service from the beaches in Madison to New York City, the Hampton's, Sag Harbor and the Islands. Additionally, sightseeing charter service is also available.
Phase One of the Madison Center Project was completed on June 30, 2016. A ribbon-cutting celebration was held where business owners, elected officials, residents and the press experienced Madison’s historic streetscape transformation.
