Maxwell v. Town of Madison 

SPECIAL BUSINESS

3. Public Comment. 

4. Discuss and take action to approve the settlement payment for a Heart and Hypertension Claim pertaining to Maxwell v. Town of Madison, in the amount of $27,000.

5. Discuss and take action to call a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 5, 2019 immediately following a Conservation Commission Public Information Session which begins at 7:00 p.m. at Madison Congregational Church, 26 Meetinghouse Lane, Hubley Hall. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear comment on an Ordinance titled “Prohibition of Use by Business Establishments of Single-Use Plastic Checkout Bags”. 

6. Discuss and take action to award the contract for the Tuxis Pond Walkway improvements to low bidder A. Secondino & Son. 

7. Discuss and take action to approve a Special Appropriation request from the Communications Department in the amount of $35,835.83 for the Communications Fire Department Tower Upgrades, consisting of (2) Two GTR Radios (Motorola Transmit and Receive), to be installed at the Dorset Road, and the Arts Barn tower sites. This request will replace the existing “Receive Only” radios that current service the site(s) and will eliminate any unintended problems that developed in the current communication, receive only mode.

8. Discuss and take action to approve a request from Madison Hose to release funds in the amount of $26,000 out of the Madison Hose Co. No. 1 Hose and Equipment Fund for the purchase of battery-powered extrication tools. The funds are available in the Capital Project Funds. 

9. Update on the Beach Pass System.
