MADISON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION Madison, CT
At a meeting held on June 20, 2019, the Commission took the following action:
19-13DVD. 64 Wall Street. Map 38, Lot 33. D District. Applicant: Matthew D Williams; Owner: Overshores Associates, LLC. Special Exception Permit Modification to construct a 3 ½ story addition to the rear of the existing building on Wall Street. Floors 1 & 2 will contain office space and the third floor and the loft will contain two dwelling units, each containing two bedrooms. The application also requests a special exception permit for an increase to the maximum average building height from 30 ft. to 39.5 ft. in the DVD District. Approved.
19-14+CSP. 41 Cottage Road. Map 31, Lot 6. T District. Applicant: Richard A. Gentile Building Company, LLC; Owner: Allied Properties, Inc. Special Exception Permit for construction of two five-dwelling unit apartment buildings (10 units in total) in the Transition District, including one unit to be rented at “below market rate” in accordance with the provisions of Section 6.15.7 of the Zoning Regulations. Approved.
19-15. 196 & 206 Durham Road. Map 58, Lot 14. RU-2 District. Owner/Applicant: Temple Beth Tikvah. Special Exception Permit Modification for a proposed addition to the existing Temple to include restrooms, kitchen, storage and a new side entry totaling roughly 5,180 s.f. The application also proposes incorporating 206 Durham Road into the Temple property, demolishing the existing building at 206 Durham Road, and constructing a new parking lot. Continued to July 18, 2019.
19-16. Regulation Amendment. Petitioner: 155 New Road Madison LLC. Petition for Regulation Amendment to add Section 32, Planned Development District, to the Town of Madison Zoning Regulations. The Planned Development District is a floating zone, to permit flexible, comprehensively planned commercial, residential or mixed use developments that further the policies, goals and strategies of the Plan of Conservation and Development. Approved, Effective June 28, 2019.
19-17. 605 Green Hill Road. Map 79, Lot 24. RU-1 & RU-2 Districts. Owner: Kathleen Bagdasarian; Applicants: Roben & Kathleen Bagdasarian. Subdivision application to divide 4.03 acres into two lots. Approved.
