[ARCHIVED] Application Deadline for New Committees Extended to Jan. 10th

Due to overwhelming interest in these two Ad-Hoc Committees, the Board of Selectmen has extended the application deadline to Friday, January 10, 2020. If you are interested in serving, please complete your application through the Town website no later than January 10th. Interviews for all interested applicants will begin the week of January 13, 2020.




Ad-Hoc Government Study Committee

On Monday, December 9, 2019, the Board of Selectmen approved the establishment of an Ad-Hoc Government Study Committee to research different forms of government permissible under Connecticut State Statute and recommend possible changes to Madison’s government structure. This Committee will run in advance of the formal establishment of the Charter Review Committee.

A copy of the full charge can be found at https://www.madisonct.org/GovernmentStudy. If you are interested in serving on this temporary committee, please complete the Board & Commission application by Friday, December 27, 2019. The Board of Selectmen will review all applications received and will appoint membership to the Government Study Committee directly.

Ad-Hoc Island Avenue Future Use Committee

On Monday, December 9, 2019, the Board of Selectmen approved the establishment of an Ad-Hoc Island Avenue Future Use Committee to research the possible future use of the Island Avenue School. If you are interested in serving on this temporary committee, please complete the Board & Commission application found at by Friday, December 27, 2019. The Board of Selectmen will review all applications received and will appoint membership to the Ad-Hoc Island Avenue Future Use Committee directly.
