COVID Update
Madison currently has 16 active cases in our community, with a majority of these cases being adults. We encourage anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID to get tested, regardless of vaccination status, in order to protect our most vulnerable populations and our youngest residents who are unable to be vaccinated. If you need to find a testing location, please visit the state of Connecticut’s website on COVID testing.
On Wednesday, the U.S. FDA authorized COVID-19 booster shots for recipients of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, clearing the way for hundreds of thousands of Connecticut residents to begin seeking boosters as soon as this weekend or next week. For more information on eligibility and finding the right booster for you, please visit the state’s website on COVID vaccines.
Important Community Survey
The Madison Beach and Recreation Commission is still seeking community feedback on programs, facilities, and customer service. This information helps them better serve you in the future. A link to their online survey can be found on the Beach and Recreation Department page at www.madisonct.org/BRsurvey and will close on November 12th.
Community Events
A reminder that Madison’s traditional Halloween favorite, Trunk or Treat, is back this year on the Madison Town Green. This year’s event will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st. This great annual tradition is organized by the Madison Chamber of Commerce and the Madison Police Department, offers an opportunity for families to gather in a safe outdoor environment to celebrate Halloween. Decorated car trunks are welcome but must be registered in advance at www.madisonct.com.
Enjoy another beautiful fall weekend Madison!
