COVID Update
Madison currently has 23 active COVID-19 cases in our community. We have also seen an increase of cases in our schools. We continue to encourage anyone with children five years of age or older to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to ensure children stay in school. In addition, the Governor has stated he believes booster shots for adults who received their last vaccine more than 6 months ago are needed to qualify a person as fully vaccinated and encourages everyone to get a vaccine booster shot. This is even more critical now as we enter the holiday season due to an increase in travel plans and indoor family gatherings. Booster shots are widely available through online sign-up at pharmacies and health care providers throughout Connecticut. More information can be found through the state’s vaccine portal.
Community Events
Next Thursday, November 25 is Madison Jaycee’s annual Turkey Trot. The Trot is a community event for runners and walkers that brings friends and family together on Thanksgiving Day for a good cause. For more information on how to participate in this fun activity held every year on Thanksgiving morning, please visit the Madison Jaycees website.
I want to wish everyone this year a very healthy and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
