COVID Update
Madison currently has 17 active COVID-19 cases in our community and, unfortunately, three residents hospitalized. As we enter the winter months, we continue to encourage all vaccinated residents over the age of 18 to follow CDC guidance and get a COVID-19 booster shot in order to provide additional protection from spread of the virus. Booster shots are widely available through online sign-up at pharmacies and health care providers throughout Connecticut. More information can be found through the state’s vaccine portal. We also continue to encourage anyone with children five years of age or older to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19, especially if you are making any travel plans for the winter break. Pediatric vaccines for children age 5 to 11 are widely available through pediatric clinics and local pharmacies throughout the state. Vaccinating our young people against COVID is the best way to ensure our children stay in school.
