The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct its first public information meeting for the I-95 Eastern CT Planning & Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study virtually on Zoom, on November 15, 2022 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Each session will include the same presentation immediately followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
All materials shared during the virtual meeting can be found on the study website beginning November 1, 2022. The public and local stakeholders are encouraged to review and make comments through November 30, 2022. Comments may be submitted on the study website, by email to info@i95EasternCT.com, or by mail (Attn. I-95 Eastern CT PEL Study Team (CDM Smith), 77 Hartland Street, Suite 201, East Hartford, CT 06108).
The I-95 Eastern CT PEL Study is an early-planning effort to identify improvements that would reduce congestion and improve travel time along Interstate 95 (I-95) from Exit 53 in Branford to the Rhode Island state line.
The purpose of this first public information meeting is to provide an overview of the concerns in the corridor related to the growing traffic and increased drive times, explain the PEL Study process, and ask for feedback on the Draft Purpose and Need of future projects within the corridor.
