New! Town of Madison App
The Town is now offering many ways to receive information about important activities and events. The Town recently launched a new MadisonCT mobile app to make it easier to access public services and find information about town events at your fingertips. Pop-up notifications can be customized to fit your interests as well as request notifications of Town calendar events, see agendas of boards and commissions, get job postings, as well as other important alerts. Please visit www.madisonct.org/app for more information and links to download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
In addition to the new Town app, we continue to encourage all residents to subscribe to the Town’s Madison Alerts system. Madison Alerts provides important information via text and email regarding storms and other issues of significant public interest, as well as the delivery of the First Selectwoman’s bi-weekly community update. 2023-2024 Budget
On February 23rd the Board of Selectmen recommended a Town and Education budget for review and final approval to the Board of Finance. The first of two public hearings was held on February 28th for residents to hear an overview of the proposed budgets and ask questions. For any resident that was unable to attend, the presentations made by Superintendent Craig Cooke and First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons can be viewed on the Town’s website. The Public Hearing was also recorded and can be viewed on YouTube.
The Board of Finance will meet throughout March and April to review the proposed budgets and make any other changes before recommending a final budget for a referendum. Please visit www.madisonct.org/budget for a schedule of Budget Workshops and for information on the final Public Hearing to be held April 18, 2023, and the Referendum to be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
Beach & Recreation Program Registration

Transportation Survey
As the Town looks to improve transportation options for residents, we invite you to participate in a survey to gather information about your perceptions and use of public transportation in our community. Responses will support future planning initiatives to better serve the needs of our residents. Take the Transportation Survey online. Printed copies of the survey are available at the Scranton Library and at the Surf Club offices of Beach & Recreation. Thank you in advance for your participation.
Have a great weekend Madison!
