End of Summer Season
As we wind down the last days of August, I want to remind residents that we are approaching the end of our summer season at our Town beaches. Many of our summer staff will begin to return to school, and the Town may no longer be able to fully staff our beach facilities, including lifeguards. Please be mindful when attending our beaches, especially with children, that lifeguards may not be on duty at all times. However, beach passes will still be required through Labor Day and we will continue to have patrol and gate monitors in place. After Labor Day weekend, we will no longer be staffing gate guards and sporting activities will ramp up at the Surf Club and other athletic fields around town.
Back to School
Please note that Tuesday, August 29, 2023 marks the start of the school year for children enrolled in Madison Public Schools. I want to wish our teachers, administrators, parents, and most importantly our students, a healthy and successful school re-opening for this academic year. For more information including orientation dates, 2023-2024 calendar, and much more visit the district's Back to School page.
